COP27 and COP15 Outcomes – FAO Support for Country Implementation Thursday, 9 March 2023, 15:00 to 17:000 CET
We are pleased to invite you to a joint hybrid briefing co-organised by the FAO Liaison Offices with the United Nations in Geneva and in New York and the FAO Liaison Office with the European Union and Belgium in Brussels, in partnership with the FAO Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment, to discuss the outcomes of COP27 and COP15 and the important role of the agrifood sector in achieving the closely interlinked global climate and biodiversity goals. By bringing together climate change and biodiversity, the discussion will explore the interconnectedness between the two and the impacts of both crises on food security, as well as the potential for agrifood systems to contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation, and addressing biodiversity loss. In this context, the briefing will highlight FAO’s integrated approach to supporting countries in addressing both crises, including financing for climate change and biodiversity, and how FAO can support countries in implementing the outcomes from COP27 and COP15.
