Description
Join us for the upcoming technical webinar on the Global Strategy for the Prevention and Control of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (2024–2033). This strategy was developed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) under the Global Framework for the Progressive Control of Transboundary Animal Diseases (GF-TADs) and coordinated by the GF-TADs High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) Task Force, under the guidance of the GF-TADs Management Committee. The revised Global Strategy for the Prevention and Control of High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (2024–2033) has been developed to respond to the global challenges by adopting a One Health approach for sustainable poultry sector transformation to prevent outbreaks, protect livelihoods, safeguard biodiversity and reduce public health risk. In order to share the content and outputs of this new strategy, a technical webinar will be organized on 3 March 2025, from 13:00 to 14:30 CET. Interpretation will be available in English, French and Spanish. This event aims to: - Present the strategy’s vision, objectives, key outputs and recommendations to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at the global, regional, and national levels. - Encourage adoption and implementation of the strategy within a One Health approach and public-private partnership framework. - Secure commitments from key stakeholders to support the implementation and coordination of the strategy.
